About My Clients
I work with both individuals and couples, including diverse couple structures. My clients often come to me to start work addressing a trauma history or current challenges with relationships or a transition period. At this time, I am only working with clients 18+.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is relational and dynamic, focusing on valuing each client's strengths and fostering growth through various life stages. Even if your thoughts are what lead to you feeling dysregulated, the best response may not be more thinking. I work to incorporate various evidence-based modalities such as attachment-focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and I am Gottman trained for approaching my work with couples. It is my hope that all clients walk away with tools to support their continued growth between sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finding a counselor/therapist can feel hard. I want my own therapist to offer a safe and trusting environment, and I will always aim to do the same for you. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist, and religious freedom advocate. I believe everyone's source of light and ticket to freedom is held within, and I aim to help you unpack all the stuff that's buried it deep down. Finally, I am a registered yoga teacher, integrating mindfulness and body-centered approaches into the therapeutic practice, if of interest to you.
