About My Clients
My clients are individuals, ages 13+ struggling with stressful life events, transitions or trauma. They often need help navigating grief, anxiety, depression or traumatic events. Sometimes they engage in creativity utilizing art media to help with their narrative. They are motivated to seek help and support, and willing to be vulnerable.
My Background and Approach
I am a board certified art therapist (ATR-BC) and licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington. I have been seeing clients in private practice as well as other settings since 2013. I have worked in various settings including: inpatient psychiatric, memory care, community mental health, Seattle Indian Health Board, You Grow Girl, as well as Full Life care. I have completed two trainings in trauma informed care with First Aid Arts, which helps me utilize art therapy, as well as other creative modalities to help clients navigate trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been volunteering with A Home Within since 2016. This organization helps to provide pro bono counseling to current and past foster care youth for as long as it takes. I have served on the Evergreen Art Therapy Association (EATA) board since 2013 and continue to do so. This is the Washington state chapter of art therapists.
