About My Clients

Working with folks living with chemical and behavioral addictions (i.e. alcohol, opiates, stimulants, sex, gambling), depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma and loss, suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts (including firearm and/or other lethal means mitigation), Red Flag laws, and legal system involvement.

My Background and Approach

I have 20 + years experience working with folks from diverse backgrounds in community behavioral health, using a collaborative, person-centered approach in which the client is the expert of their life, and I help facilitate positive change and better ways of navigating targeted issues.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a child I experienced the loss of an uncle who lived with us for a time. His struggle with addiction and depression contributed to his death in an automobile accident. This inspired me to become a counselor and being a counselor, helping others, helped facilitate my recovery from addiction and depression. This helped reignite a passion to help others in their journey of recovery. I have been married almost 25 years, mostly happy ones, but not without challenges. My partner and I have two young adult daughters, and I have marched for women, and I am an ally of the veteran, LGBTQ, people of color, and those involved in the legal system communities.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
I have experience with the following
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
