About My Clients
Trauma can make you feel deeply alone, like no one could possibly understand you. You may worry that your struggles are too much to handle-many of us bear this burden in silence. You search for someone who understands that healing isn't linear-who holds space for your experiences. In session, we'll work at your pace, creating an environment where strength is amplified. Together, we can explore paths to healing that honor your journey as you reconnect with yourself.
My Background and Approach
Life has a way of presenting us with profound questions about meaning, identity, and our place in the world. My journey as a therapist has been shaped by my previous experiences–from working in maximum security prisons to supporting individuals in psychiatric hospitals during their most challenging moments. These experiences taught me how to explore our deepest questions and understand how our past shapes our present. When I'm not in session, you might find me at local music venues or reminiscing about my brief stint as a stand-up comedian (yes, really!). These experiences taught me the power of authentic connection and sharing your truth. Together, we'll examine patterns in your relationships, uncover hidden strengths, and work through the complex emotions that trauma leaves behind.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of honest, unfiltered conversations where we can leave shame at the door. Through my work, I've developed an unshakeable conviction that no one is beyond healing, and no one is defined solely by their past actions or experiences. Each person's story deserves to be heard without judgment. In my view, trauma often leaves us feeling disconnected - from ourselves and others. But I've witnessed how authentic human connection, even in life's darkest moments, can illuminate paths toward healing we never thought possible. Whether through laughter or through tears, I believe we repair through relationships. I'm passionate about challenging the notion that we need to present a polished version of ourselves. Real healing happens when we can show up exactly as we are, messy parts and all. You deserve to be met with a genuine presence, and I’d be honored to hold that space for you.
