Gaining awareness of your pain is an important first step. You may have noticed relationship complications, a harsh inner critic, the pangs of anxiety, the ripples of trauma, or a sense of being adrift. However challenging these dilemmas, your hope is for a more compassionate understanding of yourself and authentic connection to others. You want to interrupt your old patterns that diminish your health and wellbeing. Curiosity and a desire to explore these aching dilemmas are a good first step.
My Background and Approach
I operate from a relational and attachment-based perspective, using presence and connection to support couples (EFT) and individuals. I find systemic oppression and fractured experiences with primary caregivers as leading drivers in the creation of our survival strategies. I am affirming of all identities and their expansiveness and honor each clients unique permutations of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
From my experience, it is the present moment that our conscious and unconscious patterns emerge, allowing us to better understand our attitude toward self, other, and the power structures that surround us. I find this work engaging and approach it from a relational-attachment lens, paying close attention to your current experience and the conditioning that came before it. My style is engaged, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe in affirming all identities and their expansive possibilities. For couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and meet all members of the relationship where they are, helping to unearth the emotional dynamics under the surface.
