About My Clients
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have extensive experience working clients who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship issues, and adjustment challenges. I also really enjoy working with parents to provide support around challenging childhood behavior and strategies to support development. I enjoy working with clients around perinatal mental health needs as well.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician & Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. My counseling approach is strengths based, client centered and goal oriented. My work is rooted in expressive arts and dance/movement therapy. However, I utilize an eclectic approach, including: CBT, humanistic theory, Psychodynamic theory, & somatic/ mindfulness techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to meeting my clients with warmth, empathy, and compassion. I value non-judgment, open communication, authenticity, and curiosity in the therapeutic space. I believe making space for these qualities allows for a strong therapeutic relationship to evolve. I am also committed to social justice work, which I focus on in my work with students as an adjunct professor at Lesley University and my work as a board member of the New England Chapter of the Dance Therapy Association.
