About My Clients
Whether it's your first time seeking therapy or you're not new to the experience, searching for support for your mental health is a brave and important first step. Maybe you are experiencing depression or anxiety, feeling overwhelmed navigating a life transition, or are encountering relationship challenges. Whatever is bringing you to therapy, you deserve a safe, accepting space to explore and talk about these topics.
My Background and Approach
I was drawn to working as a therapist because I have a lot of curiosity around how people make sense of their own experiences and how this relates to their identity, purpose, and way of relating to others. I have a genuine interest in supporting individuals with this process and their goals. Specifically, I have worked with children, adults and families that have experienced trauma and supported them with having a better understanding of how trauma has impacted them and their relationships. I have been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am familiar with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness. My goal is for clients to come away from sessions feeling that they have concrete tools and more of an understanding of themselves and how to work towards their goals. I also invite feedback from clients to ensure that they feel heard and can ensure that therapy is the most helpful and supportive it can be for them.
