My Background and Approach
There is so much wisdom in the ways we’ve had to be in order to survive. It is important to honor that wisdom. Yet at some point, we want to move beyond mere survival and into fuller living. My goal is that through our work together, you will feel a greater sense of connection to yourself and others, and have greater choice in all aspects of your life. Whether you are struggling with figuring out who you truly are, what kind of relationships you want to have, are tired of being “the strong one,” or want to process past experiences, it would be an honor to work with you.I utilize a collaborative approach, understanding the role culture, gender, and other factors play. I've been described as direct, yet thoughtful and warm. I use humor when possible and appropriate. I am an open-minded and curious person who likes to explore and dig deeper into the core, to truly understand. I primarily draw from psychodynamic, feminist theory, and somatic approaches. I have training in DBT and CBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
