I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, loss/bereavement, Suicide loss survivors, trauma, and autism spectrum as well as behavioral disorders. My Background and Approach
I am a New York licensed creative arts therapist and a board-certified dance/movement therapist with over 15 years experience, working in a variety of clinical settings, and private practice. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, loss/bereavement, trauma, and autism spectrum as well as behavioral disorders. I am also certified in integrative somatic trauma therapy, trauma informed yoga, breath work, mindfulness and meditation. I provide group, individual, and family therapy at my practice. As a Dance/Movement Therapist, I use movement as the core tool for healing and growth. I believe in a holistic, humanistic approach that utilizes the creative process and therapeutic relationship to help individuals reach their fullest potential. My strengths lie in creativity, compassion, and empathy through creative modalities. In our sessions together, we would integrate movement, music, journaling, meditation, breath-work, mindfulness, and somatic practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A well balanced life happens when unhealthy patterns can be unlearned and each of us has the ability to adopt new, positive ways of living and relating to ourselves and others. Through personal experience and while working with clients, I have learnt that the integration of modalities mentioned above, with psychotherapy work, provide a balance to the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Life is meant to be lived at the present moment at play. There are no limitations to growth.
